River City Building Solutions supplied electrical materials for the $465 Million Cleveland facility, which is on target to be certified as a LEED Silver building.

• LANMARK-2000 is Berk-Tec’s highest-performing Premium Category 6 cable. Every key electrical property has been improved when measured against the TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 Category 6 standard for transmitted signals, making them stronger and less susceptible to outside interference. LANmark-2000 is a true multimedia cable and is specifically designed to handle voice, video and data simultaneously. It is also ideal for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications where larger gauge for greater current carrying capacity is needed.

River City Building Solutions is providing a Green Roof System for the $50 Million student center.

• Green Roofs, which consist of indigenous plants, offer many environmental benefits including: urban heat island mitigation, noise reduction, fire prevention, water conservation/reduction of storm water run-off. Green roofs filter water prior to returning it to the aquifer. They buffer acid rain and remove nitrate pollution as water slowly percolates through the soil. Plants and soil help recreate habitat for butterflies, insects, and songbirds.

CLEVELAND FLATS EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT
River City Building Solutions provided fire-stopping insulation for an 18-story office building:

• Thermafiber FireSpan 90 Curtain Wall Insulation is designed to provide life saving fire protection in curtain wall and perimeter fire containment systems. This product provides thermal insulation, fire protection, acoustical and vapor control in many different fire containment assemblies of 1, 2, and 3-hr ratings. Conserves energy, reduces Greenhouse gasses and carbon emissions. High recycled content (up to 90% recycled content).

CLEVELAND HOPKINS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
River City Building Solutions is providing sustainable Spray Polyurethane Foam insulation for the airport roofs.

• WDG 3009-3 Spray Polyurethane Foam - The advantages of Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) are numerous in terms of installation, performance, cost and longevity. Delivering the highest R-value per inch of any insulation product, SPF generates energy savings from lower heating and air conditioning costs, as well as contributing to LEED and Energy Star compliance.

ST. JOHN'S MEDICAL CENTER MODERNIZATION
River City Building Solutions provided the following sustainable materials:

• Steel Decking: Under the LEED Green Building Rating System, structural steel receives maximum credit for its contribution to the overall rating for a structure, due in large part to its recycled content and recycling rate. Also, steel is dimensionally stable and can provide an exceptionally tight building envelope for less air loss and better HVAC performance over time. Structural steel produced in the United States contains 93.3% recycled steel scrap. At the end of a building’s life, 98% of all structural steel is recycled back into new steel products with no loss of its physical properties. As such, structural steel isn’t just recycled but "multi-cycled", as it can be recycled over and over and over again.
• Versiweld Premier Roofing: a heat-weldable, single-ply membrane designed for new roof construction and re-roofing applications. The relatively smooth surface of Versiweld Premier produces a "total surface fusion weld" that creates a consistent, watertight monolithic roof assembly. The membrane is environmentally friendly and safe to install (particularly during welding) because it is free of chlorinated polymers or chlorine containing ingredients.

NORTHEAST OHIO MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
RESEARCH AND GRADUATE EDUCATION BUILDING
River City Building Solutions provided Steel Stairs, Railings and Miscellaneous Metals for the 80,000 SF, 4-story research facility.

• In addition to steel's outstanding recycled content and an enviable reclamation rate, steel's other functional properties contribute to the material's solid environmental performance. Steel is made to exact specifications, so on-site waste is minimized. Material from demolition or construction can be easily recycled, with the magnetic properties of steel greatly facilitating its separation from other materials.

FAIRVIEW HOSPITAL
River City Building Solutions provided a Fuel Recirculating System for the $76 Million, 135,000 SF Emergency Department and ICU Expansion Project.

• Ecological Benefits of the Fuel Recirculating System:
  •  Increases the operation life of fuel filters.
  • The major component of fuel filters is paper. Use of a purifier results in fewer trees being cut each year.
  • Reduction in landfill due to fewer fuel filter replacements.
  • Significant improvement in exhaust emissions.

COLLEGE OF DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE, ART AND PLANNING (DAAP)
River City Building Solutions provided waterproofing materials for the Façade Improvement Project:

• GE SEC 2500 Silshield AWB silicone air and water barrier is an excellent candidate for use in long term air & water barrier applications to coat and seal above-grade wall assemblies, protecting against air passage and water penetration. SEC2500 SilShield AWB is a fluid-applied 100% silicone material that is vapor permeable yet completely impervious to liquid water.

ST. ELIZABETH BOARDMAN HEALTH CENTER
River City Building Solutions is providing Precast Concrete Roof Tiles as part of an expansion planned to double the current size of the health center.

• Sunny Brook's hydraulically pressed concrete pavers have the density and strength of stone. The superior pavers are manufactured on a hydraulic European press that utilizes 460 tons of pressure, eliminating excess water and air from the wet concrete mix. Precision molds are used to ensure uniform size and texture of each paver.

CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE EAST
River City Building Solutions provided Low-VOC paint for a new Natatorium and expanded Fitness and Wellness Center.

• Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are unstable, carbon-containing compounds that readily vaporize into the air.
